Currently, several Samsung devices are getting June 2021 security patches in various regions. Beginning with the Galaxy S21 series, all flagships and some mid-range smartphones have received the latest security updates.
At the same time, the company is also delivering last month’s security patch to several Galaxy devices as per their eligibility. Now, the popular Galaxy A70 smartphone is receiving a new firmware with May 2021 security update across Europe.
Users can easily identify the update with the firmware version, A705FNXXU5DUE2. Galaxy A70’s May 2021 security patch is rolling out in several European countries including Germany, Switzerland, Slovenia, Portugal, Netherlands, and Austria. It is also expected to expand to more areas soon.
Recently, Galaxy A70 users received a new software update that includes a feature called 360 Audio which the device lacks in One UI 3.1. It can be used with the latest Galaxy Buds Pro earplugs, allowing users to experience multi-dimensional “theatre-like” sound.
In addition, Samsung recently released its revised software update eligibility roadmap. As the Galaxy A70 meets its regular quarterly renewal eligibility, it will now receive only two new security updates every six months.
You can now manually check for updates by going to device Settings, selecting Software Update, and then clicking Download and install.
