New update for Samsung Galaxy M30 brings March 2021 security update

The Galaxy M30 is Samsung’s budget Galaxy M phone that comes with numerous features along with its highlight 5000mAh massive battery. Launched back in February 2019, these smartphones have already received their two major upgrades.

If you are waiting for the Android 11 upgrade on your Galaxy M30 then, you might be disappointed to know that it’s not coming. As per Samsung’s update policy, these models will not be getting any further Android upgrades and will remain on the older Android 10.

The other thing which disappoints its users is that even the company has not provided any updates after the One UI 2.0. I mean the One UI 2.1 or the One UI 2.5. But the South Korean tech giant is taking good care of these handsets in terms of sending regular security updates.

Thanks for the tip – Harshit

Identified with the software version M305FDDS8CUB1, this latest firmware is just limited to the security improvements and nothing else. It is important to note that, as it’s a staged rollout, so it may take some time to reach your device. Till then you can also keep checking for updates manually by going to Settings > Software updates > then Download and install.
