Samsung has begun sending the April 2022 security update for carrier unlocked Galaxy S21 FE available in the US market. However, last month, the company already delivered this update to carrier-locked Galaxy S21 smartphone owners in US and UAE.
The new information reveals that April 2022 update for Samsung Galaxy S21 FE is reaching US users with One UI build number G990U1UES3CVD2 and weighs around 294 Megabytes. This update enhances the overall system’s security, stability, and performance to enrich the user experience.
Following the changelog, this update includes the April 2022 security patch that fixes over 88 CVEs found in the latest software system of Samsung and Google. Further, it may also include bug fixes and some minor features we can experience after the installation of the update.
As usual, this update is rolling out in batches and may take some time to reach you. Also, if you have missed the OTA notification then don’t worry, check the update manually by following the below updates.
How to check for updates manually:
- Open the Settings
- Tao on Software Update
- Tap on check for updates
- Wait for a while, let the phone fetch the latest update for you
- Tap on download and install
To be noted:
Although the update won’t erase your personal data, we recommend you make a backup copy of your important data to prevent data. Keep the phone’s battery charged at least 30% or above as well as maintain a sufficient amount of storage.
