Samsung Galaxy S21 gets February 2021 security update [Verizon]

Just recently, the Verizon branded Samsung Galaxy Note 10 devices have started getting the first firmware update in the form of new security patches, after updating to the Android 11-based One UI 3.0 in the US.

Now, the carrier is rolling out a new software update to the newer Galaxy S21 flagships in the US. The latest software update for the Galaxy S21, S21+, and S21 Ultra bring the February 2021 security patches in order to increase the system security.

Moreover, it also comes with system function improvements for enhanced user experience. As we know, every new software update fixes some unknown bugs of the devices, it also does the same to increase the system performance.

  • G996USQU1AUAG – Samsung Galaxy S21+

How to update:

  • Open device Settings > Software updates > Download and install.

Aside from this, Samsung has also started delivering the February 2021 security updates to the eligible Galaxy smartphones and tablets. Till now, the unlocked variants of the Galaxy S20, Note 20, S9, and some mid-rangers have received the latest security patch.

Furthermore, reports surfaced online revealing that Samsung might launch the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 2 around the third quarter of this year. These upcoming foldable will come pre-installed with the Android 11-based One UI 3.5 version. However, the future of the next Galaxy Note smartphone is still in the air.
