Samsung Galaxy S22 series owners are testing the One UI 5.0 beta in some countries and now, a new firmware waiting for installation. Recently, Samsung started releasing the all-new October 2022 security patch update for the Verizon-locked Galaxy S22 devices.

The latest information suggests that the October 2022 security patch update is rolling out in the United States and currently it’s limited to the Verizon-locked Samsung Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra.
Users can identify the October 2022 update with the firmware versions mentioned below.
- Galaxy S22 – S901USQS2AVI1
- Galaxy S22+ – S906USQS2AVI1
- Galaxy S22 Ultra – S908USQS2AVI1
At the time of exploring the changelog, we found that the package contains the features and offerings of the latest Android 13-based One UI 5.0. This indicates the release of new update for the Verizon locked Galaxy S22 series which could be the One UI 5.0 Beta update.
