Samsung has started rolling out the September 2022 Android security patch update for the last year’s foldable smartphones – Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3. Presently, this update is released for Verizon-locked customers in the US.
Although the September 2022 update for the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 doesn’t come with any notable new changes, it’s worth downloading as it is responsible for the better performance of your device.

One UI 5.0
Earlier this month, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 collected the Android 12L/12-based One UI 4.1.1 update, which installed a bunch of new and improved features. Whereas, a major Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update is coming next for these devices.
As you all may know, Samsung is currently testing the One UI 5.0 beta version on the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S21 smartphones. There are some changes that these foldable phones could also get the chance to test the beta version, however, there’s no confirmation at the time. On the other side, the stable is One UI 5.0 is expected to unveil on October 12.
