Samsung Galaxy Note 9 devices locked on Verizon has recently received the January 2021 security update in the US. According to the new info, T-Mobile and Sprint have started sending a new software update to their bounded Galaxy Note 9 devices.
This update comes with firmware version: N960USQS6FTL1 that installs the latest Android patches released in January 2021. According to Samsung, January’s security patch fixes 1 critical and 47 high levels of exploits for increased device protection.
However, Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is currently running on the Android 10 based One UI 2.5 which is the last major version for these devices. The company will not provide the Android 11 update for the Galaxy Note 9 and S9 models but committed to bringing 4 years of security updates from the launch date.
