Samsung is now rolling out a new software update for the unlocked Galaxy S8 series, Galaxy S9 series, and Galaxy Note 8 smartphones in the US. The latest update brings the December 2019 security patch.

AVAILABILITY:

This update is available for the unlocked Galaxy S9, S9+, S8, S8+, and Galaxy Note 8 smartphones in the US. According to Samsung, it fixes 6 critical vulnerabilities in the Android OS and 13 vulnerabilities that affect only Samsung’s software.

HOW TO CHECK FOR THE SOFTWARE UPDATES?

If you want to check for the update manually, you can head into the device Settings then into the Software update menu and tap on the Download and install option.
