Verizon rolling out June 2021 security patch to the Samsung Galaxy S20 and Note 10 series

The US Network carrier, Verizon, has now started sending the latest security patch to the Galaxy S20 series and Galaxy Note 10 series users in the US. The latest update comes with the June 2021 security patch for better device security.

Other than the latest security patch, this update doesn’t bring major changes, optimizations, or any new features.

You can check the software versions below:

Users can identify this update via release numbers: G988USQS2DUE2, G986USQS2DUE2, and G981VSQS2DUE2 for the Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G, Galaxy S20+ 5G, and Galaxy S20 5G UW respectively. For the Galaxy Note 10 series:

  • Galaxy Note 10 – N970USQS6FUE3
  • Galaxy Note 10 Plus – N975USQS6FUE3
  • Galaxy Note 10+ 5G – N976VVRS6FUE3

For your information, the June 2021 security patch fixed 47 CVEs from Google, 19 SVEs from Samsung, and additional improvements from Verizon.

In the last update, Verizon brought the May 2021 security patch for the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 series, it also added improvements for the Camera application and One UI 3.1’s Quick Share for enhanced file sharing between Galaxy devices.
