Just recently, WhatsApp pushed a new beta update through Google Play Beta Program for Android smartphone users. This update can be identified via version number 184.108.40.206, which is rolling out to beta participants gradually.
WABetaInfo claims that WhatsApp is testing a new feature that allows the user to choose the image quality to upload. The beta version of the app enables to upload of new videos in three quality options.
- Auto (recommended): Whats will choose between best quality and data saver and apply one of these according to your connection.
- Best Quality: Will upload every video in high quality
- Data Saver: Will compress and send your uploaded video
The latest information suggests that this feature is currently in development and will be released with the stable version of the chat application manufacturer. Back in June, WhatsApp installed a new beta version in its beta testing program, one of which offers new functional enhancements for many devices.
WhatsApp’s multi-device feature is also awaited and active users are waiting for the release of this feature. However, chat application developers continue to provide many device features outside the beta plan.
At the same time, another new feature of WhatsApp is related to sharing the link of the chat, which seems bigger than before. When sharing links on WhatsApp, the updated link preview provides a brief summary of the shared content in the form of an expansion board.
