Xiaomi test shows its 200W wired fast charger doesn’t harm phone’s battery life

A few weeks ago, Chinese tech giant Xiaomi launched its HyperCharge technology for its premium smartphone, which offers a 200W fast charger and 120W wireless fast charging.

Now the company has acknowledged related to this new technology. The company invites some users to question Xiaomi engineers, and one of the questions that were raised was about the security and reliability of the smartphone.

Xiaomi’s response confirmed that the technology is secure to use, and also added that it has been commercialized over a long period of research and development. The company said there are about 40 safety and security measures that are part of the new fill-in technology.

When asked about the battery life of the smartphone and the 200W fast charging solution, Xiaomi replied that currently the phone’s battery life still exceeds 80% after 800 charging cycles, which is much higher than the realms as the national energy demand remains greater-60 percent.

At the launch of the new HyperCharge Fast Charging solution, Xiaomi revealed that the 200W fast charge can charge the 4000 mAh battery capacity to 50% in just a few minutes, and a full charge takes eight minutes.

Similarly, the 120W wireless charging solution charges the 4000mAh battery up to 10% in just a few minutes and seven minutes to charge up to 50%. It takes only 15 minutes to fully charge the battery.

The 120W wireless HyperCharge is the successor to Xiaomi’s 80W wireless charging experience that was announced back in October last year. With wireless charging technology, 80W power can be fully charged, 4000mAh battery capacity in 19 minutes.

Still find out which is the next high-end smartphone that Xiaomi will be equipped with the new fast charging technology. If anything, we expect that the new generation of flagship Mi smartphones will be equipped with HyperCharge technology.
