Better satellite views coming to Google’s Find Hub

Google Maps is one of the most helpful tools we use today. It changed how we see the world with its detailed 3D pictures and Street View. Now, it looks like Google is finally bringing some of those great features to the Find Hub, the app that helps you find your lost gadgets.

When you lose a phone or a tracking tag, the Find Hub is usually the first place you go. It shows you the last known spot of your device on a map. However, until now, that map has been very basic. It mostly shows simple lines for streets, which works okay for cities but isn’t great if you lose something in the woods or a large park.

New information shows that Google is working to give the Find Hub much better map options. Soon, you might be able to switch to a satellite view. This would let you see real photos of the ground, like trees, buildings, and landmarks, instead of just a plain gray and white drawing.

Having a satellite view is a big deal if you’re trying to find something in a rural area or a place without many marked roads. It helps you see exactly where your device is sitting—whether it’s near a specific tree or on a certain side of a building.

This update is part of a larger plan to make the Find Hub more powerful. Google has been adding things like the ability to see where friends are and even using satellites to send location pings when there is no cell service. By adding better map views, Google is making it much easier for everyone to get their lost items back quickly.
