Samsung Galaxy S26 and S28 to feature custom graphics alongside new Galaxy Buds 4 Pro
Samsung is preparing for a massive shift in its technology lineup, focusing on custom-built parts for its future smartphones and accessories. From powerful new processors to redesigned wireless earbuds, the company is aiming to take more control over how its devices perform.
Samsung Plans to Build Its Own Graphics Power
For a long time, Samsung has used graphics technology from other companies, like AMD, to power the visual experience on its phones. However, new reports suggest this is about to change. Starting with the Galaxy S26, Samsung plans to introduce a GPU (graphics processing unit) that it designed itself.
While the first version in the Galaxy S26 will still use some of AMD’s underlying technology, it marks a huge step toward independence. By the time the Galaxy S28 arrives with the Exynos 2800 chip, Samsung hopes to use a graphics chip that is 100% its own creation. This move could lead to better gaming, smoother AI features, and lower production costs.
Better Performance for the Galaxy S26
The Galaxy S26 is expected to be a powerhouse thanks to the new Exynos 2600 chip. This chip is being built using a very advanced “2nm” process, which basically means it can fit more power into a smaller space while using less battery. Because the graphics chip is being tailored specifically for Samsung’s hardware, users can expect faster speeds and better efficiency for things like photo editing and mobile gaming.
New Galaxy Buds 4 Pro Are on the Way
It isn’t just phones getting an upgrade; Samsung is also working on the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro. These premium earbuds recently appeared in official regulatory filings in the U.S., which means they are almost ready for a public release.
The new earbuds are expected to look a bit different from the previous generation. Instead of standing up in their case, they will likely lie flat. They are also rumored to feature better noise cancellation, longer battery life, and smart “Galaxy AI” tools to help improve the sound quality. Fans can expect to see these new earbuds launch alongside the next big Galaxy phones.
