Google Account website gets a modern new look with better organization

Google has updated the look of the Google Account page on the internet. This change comes after they updated the Android app in June. The new design is simpler and uses modern styling called Material 3 Expressive.

If you visit the account page online, you will see that the background color is no longer plain white; instead, it is now a very light gray with a hint of blue. Also, the word “Google” at the top left now looks cleaner and matches the word “Account” by removing the famous four-color logo.

The menu on the side now has more options. Each new section has its own colorful icon, and when you click on it, it gets a rounded, highlighted background, making it easy to see what you have selected.

The main “Home” page still clearly shows your profile picture and your name, but now it also displays your email address. The search bar to look through your account settings is still there.

Next to it, you can quickly access important items like your password, devices, Password Manager, your past activity, and email settings. Google has taken away some of the other boxes of information that used to be there, making the layout much cleaner and similar to the simple look of the Google Search homepage.

On the other pages, different pieces of information are neatly organized into white boxes, which is part of the new Material 3 Expressive style. All the content now appears in a single line or column, which is slightly thinner than it was before.

Some items are now separated for clarity. For example, “Your devices” now has its own section. A brand new section called “Family Group” has been added. When you click on “Password Manager,” it takes you to the existing password website, which has not been changed. Similarly, clicking on “Google One storage” will send you to the Google One website.

People who manage their Google Account on their phones will find this new web look familiar because it is the same style that was brought to the Android app. This update is a positive change that makes a very important settings page look and feel modern.
