Google is refreshing two of its popular products — Android Auto and Google Photos — with updates that focus on fun and creativity. For Android Auto, Google is bringing back GameSnacks, the mini-game platform that lets drivers play simple games on their car’s display while parked. The feature, developed by Google’s Area 120 team, first appeared in 2021 but quietly disappeared in later versions.

Now, it’s making a comeback. Users can again enjoy quick, lightweight games like puzzles and quizzes, ideal for passing the time while waiting in the car. However, these games are only available when the vehicle is safely parked, ensuring no distraction while driving.

Alongside this, Google is also improving Google Photos by expanding its video editing features. The app is getting new Highlight Video templates, which automatically create short videos based on specific moments or themes.

Users can pick a template such as “Dog,” “Travel,” or “Family,” and Google Photos will automatically find matching clips and photos, then compile them with music and transitions. This update makes it easier for users to create polished, shareable videos without much editing effort.

Together, these updates show how Google is enhancing both entertainment and creativity across its ecosystem — bringing fun to Android Auto and smarter video tools to Google Photos. The new features are gradually rolling out to users over the coming weeks.
