Google gives Gemini a fresh web look while launching powerful new work automation tools

Google is rolling out several important changes to its artificial intelligence products, focusing both on improving the everyday user experience and bringing more powerful automation capabilities to professional settings. These updates, centered around the Gemini AI platform, aim to make both personal tasks and complex work workflows easier to handle.

Starting with the user-facing changes, the main Gemini website is finally getting a complete makeover. Following updates to the Android and iOS apps last month, the web application now sports a cleaner, more modern design. Visually, the simple “Hello” greeting has changed to “Hi,” and it is now paired with the signature Gemini spark icon.

The text box where users type their prompts has also been subtly refined to look less boxed in. For those who prefer dark mode, the redesign introduces a truly black background on the homepage, making the appearance even deeper, though the conversation view itself keeps the previous gray shade.

Perhaps the most useful addition for users is a new section called “My Stuff.” This folder is found in the side menu and acts like a central spot for everything Gemini has created for you, such as generated images, videos, or content made using the Canvas drawing tool.

It’s essentially a personal library for your creative AI output. Furthermore, managing your chat history is now simpler, as conversations feature a new dropdown menu that lets you quickly share the discussion, pin it for easy access, rename it, or delete it entirely.

In a separate but equally important launch, Google has introduced a major new productivity platform for businesses called Workspace Studio. This tool, which was previously referred to as Workspace Flows, is designed to let anyone easily create their own smart AI helpers, or “agents,” powered by the advanced Gemini 3 model.

The goal of Workspace Studio is to automate work using the simple concept of “if this happens, then do that,” but with deep connections across services like Gmail, Chat, and Drive, as well as third-party apps like Salesforce. The best part is that creating these agents does not require any specialized code or technical skills; you can just describe the job you want done using normal language.

These new agents are much smarter than the simple, rule-based automation tools of the past. Because they use Gemini’s powerful ability to reason and understand context, they can handle complex tasks. For example, an agent can read an incoming email and its attachments to correctly identify and pull out important information, like invoice numbers, or figure out if the email contains a specific question that needs a response.

It can then automatically label the email and send you a notification in Chat. Google is making this powerful custom agent creation widely available to most business and education customers, allowing every employee to easily design tools that automate their unique work processes in a matter of minutes.
