Samsung Internet Browser lands on Windows PCs, bringing Galaxy AI and expanded language support to more users
Samsung’s very popular web browser, Samsung Internet, is now officially available for Windows computers. After fans asked for this desktop version for a long time, the browser made its true return on October 30th, though it is currently in a test (beta) version for users in the US and South Korea. This launch brings many features people love from the mobile app to the PC screen.
The best feature for Samsung users is the smooth way it works with your other Galaxy devices. Suppose you log in with your Samsung account on your computer. In that case, the browser will automatically copy your web history, saved websites (bookmarks), and passwords, making it easy to jump between your phone and your PC without missing a beat.
This new computer browser is also equipped with powerful smart tools from Galaxy AI. This includes a feature called “Browsing Assist,” which is extremely useful. It can quickly read a web page and give you a short summary of the content, or it can translate the entire page into a different language instantly. The company says this is just the beginning and that the browser is built to get even smarter as new AI features are developed.
Beyond the AI tools, the browser comes with many helpful settings. You can use a “Split view” feature to look at two different websites side-by-side. It offers a “Secret mode” for private browsing, a “Privacy dashboard” that clearly shows you which website trackers and ads it has blocked, and robust smart anti-tracking tools to keep your activity private.
If you like to customize your browser, you will be happy to know it supports add-ons from the Chrome Web Store, and you can switch to a comfortable Dark mode.
In other news showing how Samsung is growing its AI platform, the company recently taught Galaxy AI two new languages: Filipino and Gujarati. This change means that Galaxy AI can now be used by millions of new people across the globe.
With these latest additions, the entire Galaxy AI system now supports a total of 22 different languages for tools such as summarizing notes, translating messages, and giving real-time translation during calls. This continuous growth shows Samsung’s strong goal to put the power of Galaxy AI on over 400 million devices globally soon.
