Samsung rolls out One UI 8 updates for Galaxy Tab S6 Lite and Galaxy Watch 7
Samsung has started releasing the new One UI 8 software update, based on Android 16, for more Galaxy devices. The latest devices getting this update are the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite and the Galaxy Watch 7, which are now receiving the newest features and performance improvements.
The Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2024) version is now getting the One UI 8 (Android 16) update in Europe, starting with France. The new firmware comes with the version P625XXU6DXJ1 and includes the October 2025 security patch. Samsung is expected to roll out the update to other regions, including Asia, the Middle East, and South America, in the coming days.
With this update, the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite gains a smoother interface, better performance, and enhanced privacy features. It also introduces several Android 16 elements like improved multitasking, a redesigned quick panel, and smarter app suggestions. Samsung Notes, Gallery, and Samsung Internet have also been updated for a more seamless experience.
Alongside this, Samsung has also started pushing the One UI 8 Watch update for the cellular version of the Galaxy Watch 7. The new firmware, identified by version R935FXXU1AXJ2, is currently available in the US and will soon expand to other markets. This update follows the earlier rollout for the Wi-Fi version of the Watch 7.
The latest One UI 8 Watch brings several AI-powered features and improvements in health tracking, sleep monitoring, and battery efficiency. Users can now enjoy smarter health insights, better watch performance, and improved integration with Galaxy smartphones.
