Samsung secures Galaxy S23 phones and Wallet app hits 1 Million user milestone

Samsung has some great news to share about both its popular phones and its digital payment service. The company is celebrating a major success with the Samsung Wallet Money and Points service, which has just passed the mark of one million people using it. This is a very fast growth story, as the service only started a couple of months ago, in October of this year.

Samsung created this part of the Wallet app to give users one easy place to manage everything related to digital money. People can use it to pay, add funds, collect reward points, and use those points—all within the same application. The company specifically noted that one feature, the “Gift” option in the benefits area, is extremely popular among users in South Korea.

To celebrate reaching the one-million user milestone, Samsung is giving out extra rewards. Users can now get up to 10% back on some payments made with the service and earn thousands of bonus points when they use it a few times.

The system itself is straightforward: Wallet Money is a payment method that works without needing a physical bank card, and Wallet Points are points earned automatically with every purchase, which can be spent just like real money. The best part is that there’s no limit on how many points you can collect, and you can use both the money and points feature at almost any store that accepts card payments.

Moving from digital payments to device safety, Samsung has also been focused on making sure its phones are protected. The company has begun releasing a vital software update for the Galaxy S23 line, which includes the S23, S23 Plus, and S23 Ultra models.

This important update brings the latest December 2025 security patch. This security fix addresses a total of 57 security issues, essentially patching up weaknesses to keep the phones more secure from potential threats.

The update is currently rolling out in Samsung’s home country, South Korea, and is expected to become available for Galaxy S23 owners in other parts of the world very soon. Users can check if it’s ready for their device by looking in the software update section of their phone’s settings.
