Samsung sends new updates to Galaxy Watch 5, Tab S9 FE, Ring, and Apps
Samsung has begun rolling out numerous software updates, introducing new features and enhanced security to a wide range of its products and applications across various regions.
For individuals in India who own the Galaxy Watch 5 LTE, a major upgrade called One UI 8 Watch is now available. This software package is large, about 1.8GB, and also includes the October 2025 security fixes.
The new version significantly improves the watch by adding features like better Tiles. This means users can now create their own personalized Tiles on the watch screen, combining useful information like the weather, calendar events, and simple reminders.
Another helpful feature is the new Low Light Mode for watch faces, which adjusts the brightness to make the screen easier on the eyes when you are in a dark environment. The update also makes the Mindfulness features better, with new ways to track your mood and guided breathing exercises to help you stay calm.
In other news, other devices and apps are also getting updates in December 2025. The Galaxy Tab S9 FE is receiving a new security patch in South Korea to ensure the tablet remains secure.
The Galaxy Ring is also getting important new software, which focuses mainly on making the product more reliable and extending how long the battery lasts. This update started in India and is expected to reach more markets soon.
Standard Samsung apps are also getting big improvements. The Samsung Calendar app now features a special display mode for bigger screens, such as tablets or when using a desktop setup with DeX.
This new look allows you to see your full daily schedule and the calendar grid at the same time. It is also simpler to set up new events, as the option to add a reminder is now part of the creation screen. You can even change a reminder’s date easily by dragging and dropping it directly on the calendar view.
Finally, the Samsung Reminder app has been given a completely new design. The main screen now highlights your to-do list and the search tool right away, so you can find what you need faster.
There is also a handy section called “Try these out,” which provides pre-made lists for common things like shopping or routines. Adding a new reminder is also simpler now with a cleaner screen and a special button for those who prefer to speak their reminders instead of typing them out.
