Samsung starts testing One UI 8.5 on Galaxy S23 Plus and Ultra
Samsung has begun working on the next version of its One UI interface, called One UI 8.5, for the Galaxy S23 Plus and Galaxy S23 Ultra. The company is currently testing this update internally, which means it could reach users in the next few months.
The new One UI version is expected to bring small improvements rather than big changes. Samsung seems to be focusing on making the system smoother and faster while adding subtle design tweaks. There may also be some updated animations, new wallpapers, and minor enhancements to apps, especially Samsung’s native apps like the camera and messages.
One UI 8.5 will likely continue Samsung’s trend of offering better customization options and more advanced AI features. For instance, features like Smart Widgets and advanced multitasking may receive improvements. Samsung is also expected to refine its system-wide gestures to make navigation feel more fluid.
While there’s no official release date yet, internal testing usually hints that a public beta could start within a few months, with a stable release following soon after. Users with the Galaxy S23 Plus and Ultra should look forward to a more polished and refined experience without waiting for a completely new interface.
This update shows that Samsung wants to keep improving One UI steadily, focusing on performance, convenience, and small but meaningful visual changes.
