Samsung teams up for the future: boosting phone smarts and building super-fast 6G internet

Samsung is making big moves to shape the future of technology by focusing on powerful Artificial Intelligence (AI). The company is working on two main areas: making the smart features on your phones much better and creating the next generation of super-fast wireless internet, known as 6G.

For its mobile devices, Samsung recently announced a partnership with a company called Nota AI to make its own Exynos processors smarter. This collaboration is all about making AI features run smoothly and quickly right on your smartphone.

Nota AI brings special technology to Samsung’s development system, called the Exynos AI Studio, which helps to make AI programs faster while using less of the phone’s power.

The main benefit of this work is that smart features—like those that help you create new things or edit pictures—can work much better on the phone itself, like on the Galaxy Z Flip 7, without needing to connect to the internet or a cloud server.

This is a big step toward giving people high-quality AI experiences that are fast and private. The goal is to make these advanced features simple and effective for everyone using devices powered by chips like the Exynos 2500.

In a related but different effort, Samsung is also preparing for the future of network connectivity by partnering with SK Telecom. The two companies have agreed to work together to build the technology for 6G networks using AI. This project focuses on a system called AI-RAN, which means using AI to manage the radio parts of the wireless network.

The two tech giants will be testing key technologies needed for 6G. This includes using AI to predict and correct radio signals in real-time so your connection is always clear and fast.

They are also working on ways to let multiple antennas or cell towers cooperate to send and receive data more effectively. Simply put, AI will help decide the best and fastest way to send huge amounts of data. SK Telecom will be responsible for providing the necessary data and testing areas across its national network to make sure these AI-powered wireless technologies work well in the real world.

Both of these projects show that Samsung is heavily investing in how AI works—both inside the phone and across the entire network—to create a fully connected and intelligent experience for its users in the years to come.
