Samsung is busy pushing out important updates to its best devices, making sure its popular foldable phones and smartwatches are safe and running smoothly. The latest changes include the monthly security fixes for the flagship phones and new test software for the smartwatches, all carrying the October 2025 security shield.

Security Boost for Foldable Phones

The Galaxy Z Flip 6 and the Galaxy Z Fold 6 are now getting a new software package. This update is important because it includes the October 2025 security patch, which fixes many different security problems to keep your phone protected.

While Samsung usually sends out these security fixes earlier in the month for its top-of-the-line devices, the company was focused on the major rollout of the One UI 8.0 (Android 16) system. Even though the month is almost over, these new foldables are finally up to date. The update is currently starting to reach users in Europe.

If you have a Galaxy Z Flip 6, look for the version F741BXXS2CYJ1, and if you have a Galaxy Z Fold 6, the version is F956BXXS2CYJ1. You can check for the download easily by going to Settings, selecting Software update, and then tapping Download and install.

New Test Software for the Galaxy Watch 6

At the same time, Samsung’s smartwatch users are getting a look at the future with the newest test version of the One UI 8 Watch software. This is the fourth beta release for both the Galaxy Watch 6 and the larger Galaxy Watch 6 Classic.

This new watch software, with the version number ZYJ6, is now available in Korea for both the regular and cellular models. It’s a good-sized download, about 137MB, and brings key fixes that beta testers had been waiting for. Specifically, it solves problems with overall performance and also makes the GPS tracking work better.

Crucially, this fourth beta also packs the same October 2025 security update that the new foldable phones received. If you are part of the beta program, you can get the update by opening the Galaxy Wearable app on your phone, going to Watch settings, and then choosing Watch software update.
