Moreover, this move triggers other manufacturers and companies. AMD and Qualcomm are likely to also turn to Samsung, and become the first customers of Samsung’s 3nm chip manufacturing process. Therefore, compared with the current alliance relationship between TSMC and Apple, perhaps Samsung may also establish alliances with AMD and Qualcomm.

However, for such industry rumors, Samsung has not disclosed any information about the first batch of customers for the 3nm chip manufacturing process. Samsung Electronics has previously stated that it has ensured a stable yield rate for the 3nm process technology, and plans to start mass production and OEM chips using the 3nm process technology in June next year.

According to previous news, Samsung Electronics’ 3nm process technology will use all-around gate transistor (GAA) technology, which will increase its performance by 50% compared to 5nm process technology and reduce energy consumption by 50% compared to 5nm process technology.
