Huawei’s Memory Turbo tech on HarmonyOS will increase 2GB RAM virtually

HarmonyOS

A new HarmonyOS 2.0 comes with several innovative functionalities such as the super device which lets users control a bunch of devices using a single supermodel. Another innovation of Huawei’s HarmonyOS comes to light when a tipster revealed a new RAM technology called – Memory Turbo.

This new tech makes it possible to expand RAM virtually adding a further 2GB to the actual memory capacity. For instance, the 6GB RAM of a device will become 8GB to increase the performance and handle a bunch of tasks. And it is not only available on smartphones but also on PCs.

Though this technology is not available yet and will come in the future version of the HarmonyOS and its arrival is still to be confirmed by the company. This is some sort of interesting thing and as tech enthusiasts, we are eagerly waiting for this to become reality.

However, the company has already announced this technology on the previous EMUI operating system. According to Huawei’sConsumer Business Group CEO, the Mate 40 series comes with a new memory slot which increases the 8GB RAM to 10GB and a 12GB RAM to 14GB.

Further, he said that with the dynamic group compression and super memory flash fusion, the average number of caches has recorded 11 on the Mate 30 Pro with 8GB RAM compared to 16.6 of the Mate 40 Pro’s 8GB variant. And the performance increase was further increased by up to 50%.

The Turbo RAM tech will be helpful for older smartphones that come with less RAM support to accelerate and make the HarmonyOS run smoother.
