Google Assistant brings lens-powered search screen feature

Google Assistant for Android is now getting the lens-powered search screen feature. The US manufacturer has already announced the respective tweak in February this year. As of now, the company is rolling it out for more device users.

As per the revealings, Google Assistant is now showing a lens-powered search screen option consistently in the panel. Eventually, you can take a screenshot and send it to Lens using the system share sheet or the Pixel Launcher shortcut.

Note that the screen search capability takes your current display and runs it via Google Lens with a new light theme and visual tweaks. Further, users can opt for filters like Translate, Text, Homework, Shopping, and Places.

The latest change is showing up on several Pixel phones running the Google app with the 14.31 beta version. It would take a few days to complete the rollout globally.
