Latest WhatsApp update fixes group info bug

WhatsApp

WhatsApp released the minor 2.21.21.9 update for its users a few days ago. Well, this was a regular update and didn’t bring anything noteworthy, but after installing this update an annoying bug started appearing.

WABetaInfo reports that users who updated to versions, 2.21.21.8 and 2.21.21.9 were unable to access WhatsApp group info due to this unknown bug. There were several reports about these issues on the Twitter handle. However, earlier only certain users got this update.

Fortunately, WhatsApp has soon acknowledged the bug that is crashing groups and group information. The team has released update 2.21.21.10 to fix this bug. Anyhow, if you are also facing glitches and crashes while accessing WhatsApp groups, you can update your app to this latest version to resolve this issue.

Other than this, WhatsApp has also fixed some other problems reported by specific beta testers in this new version. Beta users were facing some issues with profile pictures but the new update fixed this issue for now.

Previous WhatsApp Updates

WhatsApp is preparing to add a new function called “Accept My Contacts” to the privacy settings. This is a similar feature that we have used in WhatsApp Status Privacy and Group Settings. So far, the Facebook-owned firm has confirmed this custom privacy option for WhatsApp About, Last Seen, and Profile Picture.

Speaking about the way it works, it follows the opposite concept. This will allow you to hide your activities from specific users registered in your contact list. However, you won’t be able to see their activities either. Currently, developers are adding more measurements and will roll out with future updates for the Android and iOS platforms.
