Bixby is Samsung’s virtual assistant that helps consumers use their Galaxy device more seamlessly. Meanwhile, a recent report suggests that the South Korean tech giant is reportedly planning to make Bixby more advanced by infusing generative AI tech.
As per the details, a Samsung executive confirmed CNBC in an interview that, they are planning to upgrade Bixby with advanced generative AI tech. With the launch of the Galaxy S24 series, we have entered into the era of AI and this advanced technology will go further.
By incorporating AI technology in Bixby, Samsung will make its voice assistant even more relevant and let users make their experience even more intuitive. However, the tech giant didn’t reveal when it will boast its Bixby with AI but it is expected to happen soon.

Simultaneously, there is no information available about the AI features or capabilities that Samsung Voice Assist will get. But we can expect that this service will become more progressive and eminent.
Won-joon Choi, executive vice president of Samsung’s mobile business said,
- “With the emergence of generative AI and LLM (large language model) technology, I believe that we have to redefine the role of the Bixby so that Bixby could be equipped with Generative AI and become more smarter in the future,”
