Kia is all set to launch its new 7-Seater SUV in the Indian automobile market on 16 December 2021.
This new upcoming SUV is Codenamed ‘KY’ which could be called ‘Carens’ after launch in India. It is based on the same platform as Hyundai Creta. The Kia KY will be offered in a 6 or 7-seater layout.
This new 7-Seater SUV will be a hard competitor for the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and XL6.
Kia KY is expected to be powered by a 1.5-liter petrol engine that will produce 113 bhp of maximum power and 144 Nm of maximum torque and a 1.5-liter diesel engine that will produce 113 bhp of maximum power and 250 Nm of maximum torque. Both engines will come mated with a 6-speed manual transmission.
