Samsung focusing on Middle East to explore new business opportunities

Samsung Chairman Lee Jae-yong has recently made a tour of the Middle East to expand the company’s business opportunities. This tour was a part of the ‘holiday global field management’, where the company aims to encourage its employees to explore the right set of circumstances.

The information reveals that Lee visited three countries in the Middle East including Saudi Arabia, Israel, and Egypt for the business welfare of Samsung. He has overseen the NEOM construction site in Tabuk Province, northwest Saudi Arabia, which is an eco-friendly smart city with 26,500 sq. km.

Notably, the respective city is a vital part of the ambitious ‘Vision 2030’ national reform project. Here, Samsung C&T is constructing an underground railway for the NEOM city’s transportation system.

Chairman Lee further said:

“The Middle East is a treasure trove full of future food sources and opportunities to demonstrate innovative technologies. Although we are currently struggling in a foreign country and separated from our families, let us take on the challenge boldly with the mindset that we are at the forefront where the future of ‘Global Samsung’ is at stake.”
