Samsung drops major feature from the Galaxy S24
According to the latest report, the satellite connectivity feature will not be available in the Samsung Galaxy S24. It’s a service that can send a rescue notification signal using an L-band frequency band satellite in an emergency.
The company appears to have decided that there is no need to rush the introduction of the Galaxy S24 in terms of utility rather than technology. The feature provided by Apple has a one-way structure and only allows limited types of transmission.
An industry insider said, “I understand that Samsung Electronics is preparing to install a satellite communication function capable of two-way service in its next-generation model.”
Samsung Galaxy S24 Prices and launch event invitations leaked
According to Roland Quandt, the Galaxy S24 will cost 11,490 SEK and 12,290 SEK in Sweden for 128GB and 256GB storage variants, respectively in Sweden. The Galaxy S24+ will be available in 256GB and 512GB internal memory variants, while the Ultra will go up to 1TB storage, prices are below:
Galaxy S24:
- 128GB: 11,490 SEK, which translates to roughly $1,070 USD.
- 256GB: 12,290 SEK, or approximately $1,140 USD.
Galaxy S24+:
- 256GB: 14,490 SEK, around $1,350 USD.
- 512GB: 15,990 SEK, equivalent to $1,490 USD.
Galaxy S24 Ultra:
- 256GB: 17,990 SEK, close to $1,680 USD.
- 512GB: 19,490 SEK, roughly $1,820 USD.
- 1TB: 22,490 SEK, about $2,100 USD.
Remember, these are estimated prices in Swedish kronor, and the final US pricing may vary depending on taxes, carriers, and discounts.

Samsung will hold the Galaxy Unpacked 2024 on January 17, 2024. The in-person event will be held in San Jose, USA, while the live stream will be available across official Samsung accounts and channels.
Earlier, the South Korean tech giant hosted its Galaxy Z Fold/Flip launch event in Seoul. However, the Galaxy S23 lineup’s launch conference was held in San Francisco, USA.
