Previous reports suggested that Samsung was planning to kill the Note series to focus on its lineup of foldable phones and Galaxy S series.

“We are preparing to release the Galaxy Note series next year,” a Samsung official said, reported Yonhap, a Korean news outlet.

According to several reports in past, Samsung is likely to bring the S Pen support to the high-end model of the Galaxy S21 smartphone.

Yesterday, Samsung’s mobile business chief TM Roh also confirmed the Galaxy S21 series will include support for the S Pen stylus. The message from TM Roh doesn’t mean that the company is discounting the Galaxy Note series, the official denied such speculation.

“Roh’s message does not mean that the Galaxy Note series will be discontinued,” the official said.

Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy S21 series on January 14 at the Galaxy Unpacked event. About the Galaxy Note series, the company has been launching new Galaxy Note devices in the second half of the year.
