Earlier this month Samsung has temporarily terminated its operation in the Kalyuga TV factory. LG Electronics is also been facing several issues in operating its factory at Luza, due to the exhaustion of inventory parts after this Russia-Ukraine war.

As per the report, Samsung Electronics has temporarily suspended its operations in Kaluga, near Moscow, Russia earlier this month. Samsung has also stopped shipping and selling TVs in Russia on the 7th of March 2022.
Samsung took this step because the supply parts of such panels are sufficiently not enough for production. As we know waiting and halt of the unfinished goods and products cost more than the finished ones. So it’s better to halt this TV production.
Moreover, the Company has done the aftermath of those finished goods which they will be unable to deport those products down the line for selling. Samsung took this decision right on time, between this ongoing war.
Additionally, LG Electronics is also suspending the operations of its home appliances and TV factory in Russia. If this disruption stays for a long time the Company could plan to shifts its production unit to Poland.
However the Chinese TV makers such as Xiaomi and TCL have not stopped selling the Russian TVs, in fact, they have announced a price cut to increase their market share.
Further, Samsung explained us, how its under pressure to focus on inventory management due to its declining TV shipment in Europe and the rest of the distinct places across the world. Samsung has a 31% share in the European and Common Wealth of Independent States TV market.
