Android 10 Upgrade Report Card: OnePlus took 18 days to push Android 10 to its current flagship, while Samsung did in 106 days

Google announced Android 10 in September last year, now more than 6 months completed, and we have a first progress report of the Android 10 upgrade.

According to the Android 10 Upgrade Report Card (via Computer World), Google received an A (100%) grade. OnePlus also saw an improvement with a B (85%) grade. Samsung has improved considerably. For the first time ever, Samsung earned a D+ (68%) grade, thanks to its fast schedule of pushing Android 10 update to its Galaxy S10 and Galaxy Note 10, as well as to its year-old S9 and Note 9 devices.

Android 10 Upgrade Report Card:

Google announced Android 10 and then started rolling out the latest Android OS to its Pixel 3, Pixel 2 phones on the very same day. In addition, Google rolled out Android 10 OS update to its original 2016 Pixel phone.

OnePlus is on second place for its 3rd straight years now. The company did well with sending an Android 10 update to all of its recent smartphones. OnePlus updated its OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro with Android 10 OS in September. The company took only 18 days to start the major OS update rollout. Further, it took around 90 days to send the Android 10 update to the OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T.

Samsung did better this time, secured the third place. Samsung started rolling out the Android 10 update for the Galaxy S10 series in mid-December and the Note 10 devices received this major update just slightly later in the month. Samsung performed well but still, it took 106 days to release the Android 10 update after Google released the latest Android OS.

Here’s the list of eligible devices that will get the One UI 3.0/Android 11

LG was in the fourth place, which managed to get F (43%) grade. It took 129 days to push an Android 10 update to its LG G8. HTC and Motorola both received zeros for not rolling out the Android 10 upgrades.
