Apple iPhone 14 autofocus proactive suppliers appeared

According to the latest report, Tianfeng International analyst Guo Mingji posted on Twitter this morning, saying that the front camera of the iPhone 14 series will be upgraded to AF autofocus, and revealed the supplier of the front camera.

Ming-Chi Kuo said that the front-facing camera of the iPhone 14 will be upgraded to AF (currently fixed focal length), and the Selfie and image performance will be significantly improved. Key hardware upgrades also include the addition of a VCM and an upgrade to a 6P lens (currently 5P).

According to reports, the winners of the iPhone 14’s front lens upgrade to AF are Yujingguang and Gaowei Electronics. Yujingguang is the main supplier of 6P lenses for front AF cameras, and the ASP is about 20% higher than the existing 5P.

Cowell Electronics, a CCM supplier under Luxshare Precision Group, can benefit from the vertical integration of CCM and VCM (Luxshare Precision is a new VCM supplier for front cameras).

It is worth noting that Ming-Chi Kuo said that Yujingguang has a higher proportion of the total lens supply in the iPhone 14 than Largan, which is the first time that Yujingguang has surpassed Largan in the proportion of orders for new iPhone lenses.

Benefiting from the iPhone’s rear camera orders, Cowell Electronics has more room for growth than its peers in the next few years. Luxshare is a new VCM supplier, but given its large business size, VCM’s contribution to its sales/EPS should be limited. Ming-Chi Kuo concluded that the suppliers of the iPhone 14 front autofocus lens include:

CIS: Sony

Lens: Yujingguang and Da Liguang

VCM: Alps and Luxshare Precision

CCM: LG Innotek and Cowell Electronics
