Apple iPhone users could soon charge other devices via screen glass

Apple has issued several patents this week and one of them highlights that iPhone users will soon be able to charge other devices such as iPads using the screen glass. Yes, instead of turning down the face of your iPhone or iPad for reverse charging, you can simply opt for it through the front display.

The new patent entitled ‘Through-Display Wireless Charging’ is related to making the display – a charging point. Here, placing an Apple device or an iPhone on the screen glass will help to charge up your device wirelessly. Let’s see what the patent reads:

“A personal electronic device (e.g., a tablet computer) may be configured to wirelessly charge an accessory (e.g., a stylus) through a display face of the device. At least a portion of the display face may be transparent to facilitate display viewing.”

Meanwhile, the prints on the patent clues that a particular section will work as a charging section and won’t exhibit any other element.
