OPPO Reno 8 Pro 5G has begun the ColorOS 14 installation race with the closed beta sign-up. It’s an amazing surprise for smartphone users who have been waiting for the new Android 14-based testing activity for a long time.
According to the information, OPPO is calling out 200 Reno 8 Pro 5G users from India to participate in the ColorOS 14 closed beta program and test the latest features as well as capabilities ahead of the official software release.
However, there are some requirements that need to be fulfilled. For instance, the Reno 8 Po 5G users have to download the ColorOS build CPH2357_13.1.0.580 (EX01) to get the new Beta version. On the other hand, if the application channel gets closed then you have to wait for the next batch.
Following the submission, the early adopter version is in development and it may take some time to process registered applications. Further, the selected smartphone users will be able to download the beta build version.
How to apply?
Visit the Settings app > About Device > Tap the top icon > Click on Trial Versions. Here you will see the term ‘Alpha’. Tap on it and fill in your information. Thereafter, you will receive a telegram group link > Apply Now.
After your application passes the round, you need to check the About Device section to download the latest version. Although, you might face the following problems after this beta version:
Known Issues
- Storage size does not show used storage space
- Long press 1 will exit the dial to the desktop
- The charging icon doesn’t show two decimal places on the lock screen with the Super Flash charger
- There’s a chance of the phone ringing with no incoming call
- There’s a chance of a black screen appearing when swiping left or right between recent apps
- The Long Screenshot feature is not displaying properly on the Weather Warning page
- When using the Album Photos, there’s a chance the photos are not displayed in order
- After taking a photo and clicking the bottom left corner to enter the album, this photo can’t be deleted normally.
- The Aquamorphic theme ringtone won’t have a vibration
