Samsung’s OLED display laptops certified for flicker-free and Eye Care

Recently, Samsung announced that its OLED technology will be globally recognized as an eye-friendly display for consumers based on its Flickr-free and low blue light features.

As per the report, the global certification company TUV presents OLED technology with ‘Flickr Free’ certification, while SGS, the world’s leading certification company, recognizes technology with iCare display certification.

Samsung Display’s OLED for laptops at refresh rates varying between 60Hz, 90Hz, and 120Hz received global ‘flicker free’ certification following TUV testing, where Samsung Display’s OLED technology showcased user-friendly specifications with no motion of flickering.

Moreover, the display flicker occurs when a TV or monitor blinks continuously due to inconsistent screen brightness. Flicker is difficult to detect with the naked eye, but frequent exposure can cause frequent headaches, red eyes, and a negative effect on the overall vision.

Additionally, Samsung’s OLED display SGS, recognized by the Global Certification Company, is recognized with iCare display certification for the lowest emission of ‘harmful blue light’. By looking at the low blue light, users’ eye fatigue, dry eye syndrome, and poor sleep habits can be improved even when looking at the display for a long time.

Samsung OLEDs emit a third less harmful blue light than LCD displays. As a result of the verification test, the harmful blue light was also shown to be reduced by 78% in the ‘dark mode’ which darkens the background light.
