The Western Europe’s smartphone shipments have grown steadily, and its market share ranks third, with Spain’s smartphone market share ranking first in five consecutive quarters.

As per the report of the research organization Canalys, the global smartphone shipments are increasing in the first quarter of 2021. In the first quarter of 2021, global smartphone shipments reached 347 million units, 27% year-on-year growth.

Globally, Samsung ranks first with 76.5 million units shipped, accounting for 22% of the market. Apple sold 52.4 million iPhones, which had a 15% market share. Sales of the iPhone 12 Mini were lower than expected, but the advantages of other iPhone 12 models and strong demand for the older version of the iPhone 11 helped it maintain a strong pace of growth.

With an increase of 62% and shipments of 49 million units, Xiaomi set the best single-quarter performance ever. OPPO and Vivo ranked in the top five with shipments of 37.6 million and 36 million respectively. Huawei currently ranks seventh with 18.6 million units.
