Beginning of the year, Samsung introduced the One UI 4.1 operating system based on Android 12, which comes with lots of customization options, features, and functions one of them being Edge panels.

This One UI 4.1 Edge Panels tool provides multiple panels for the Edge screen which helps users with quick access to their favorite applications, contacts, live messages, and features. Also, the feature allows users to use a split-screen view to set their devices to use two apps on the Edge screen at the same time.

Enable Edge Panels:

First, launch the Settings app, then tap on the Display option, scroll down and click on the Edge Panels option. Turn On the toggle to enable it. You can also customize the Edge panel with the Panels options.

How to add Contacts to Edge Panel?

To add contacts to the Edge panel to easily access them. First, open the Edge panel, then swipe left or right across your edge panel until you’re on People Edge. To allow the edge panel to access your contacts, click Allow, and then click Edit Options. Select the contacts you want to add to the side panel and it’s done.

Add One UI 4.1 Control Panel to Edge Panel:

With One UI 4.1, Samsung brings a number of new features and improvements over One UI 4.0. Apart from the features, the company has also improved the functionality of Edge Panels.

  • Now swipe to open the Edge panel
  • Tap on the Settings icon
  • Then click on the Galaxy Store
  • Finally, tap on the Control Center
