Is your Galaxy device eligible for monthly/quarterly security update? Check here now [May 2021]

So far, Samsung has rapidly upgraded countless Galaxy smartphones and tablets to Android 11-based One UI 3.0/One UI 3.1 iterations. Despite this, the company has rolled out major firmware updates to the remaining Galaxy devices as planned.

At the same time, the South Korean technology giant also releases new security updates monthly, quarterly, and semi-annually based on the qualifications of the equipment. Earlier this year, the company announced that it will provide regular security updates for at least four years for Galaxy devices launched in 2019 or later.

All high-end and selected mid-range devices receive new security patches every month, while the remaining mid-range devices and budgets listed receive new updates every three months. In addition, the company also releases new security patches to old devices twice a year.
