HarmonyOS 2 software update tracker for Huawei Nova 5

Huawei Nova 5 is the old midrange series of Huawei launched in 2019 and is one of the popular lineups that packs loads of features. There are a total of four variants in the series, but here we will get on with two base ones – Nova 5 and Nova 5z. Both of these smartphones are eligible for the new HarmonyOS 2.0 upgrade.

Huawei officially announced the new HarmonyOS 2.0 this year for its devices and soon after the announcement, the company has also started the beta testing program for the topmost devices. As for the Nova series, the number of users is pretty high, and are eagerly waiting for the new version.

Meanwhile, the Chinese OEM has already begun the beta testing program for several Huawei phones including the Nova 5 series. This means that the Nova 5 and 5z’s journey of the HarmonyOS has begun and after several beta updates these smartphones will finally get the stable version once the software gets fully optimized.

The HarmonyOS 2.0 comes with a refreshed user interface and a brand new home screen carrying new services widgets and much more. Its major highlight is the Super Device feature that allows users to control several devices using a single supermodel.
