Mi 8 Pro was initially released with an Android 8.1 (Oreo) and currently working on Android 10. This device is regularly receiving monthly security patches that fix the different levels of exploits and issues for further system security improvements.
Now, Xiaomi has started releasing a new stable update for Mi 8 Pro in China. It brings the latest December 2020 security patch for the system security enhancement.
The latest update comes with the MIUI 12 version V12.0.4.0.QECCNXM and weighs 3.1GB. You can download the update from the link mentioned below.

Aside from this, Xiaomi is preparing the next version of MIUI, MIUI 13. Before MIUI 13, Xiaomi is going to introduce MIUI 12.5. In MIUI 12.5, the company will further upgrade and optimized animation design, security, and privacy.
