Xiaomi is expanding the reach of the August 2023 security update to more users of Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G and Note 12 Pro+ 5G devices. Notably, the firmware was initially released in Turkey and the Chinese tech maker is now making it available in Russia. However, the remaining region users will also get it soon.
According to the information, the consumers of Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G and Note 12 Pro+ 5G will be able to determine the August 2023 update via the MIUI build version V14.0.1.0.TMORUXM and need to install a 4.4GB package size.
Moving on, the August 2023 security patch didn’t bring any new features or major optimizations for your Redmi device, but it ensures to keep the system protected against harmful threats and viruses. It also provides increased security for the system, ensuring that confidential data and sensitive information remain safe and secure.
However, the update is rolling out through OTA (over-the-air) method. Thus, it may take some time to cover all the eligible units in the country. If you don’t want to wait, then go with the manual installation process through Settings > About Phone > System Updates > Download & Install.
