Samsung Galaxy A70 is getting July 2020 security patch

Samsung has started pushing a new security update for the Galaxy A70, that installs the Android patches released in July 2020. This update is rolling out in Australia for the unlocked and Telstra models.

The software version of the July security update is A705YNDXU5BTF1 for Galaxy A70. However, there are no additional features, improvements or changes noted.

To update the version on your device, you will need to have a minimum battery charge of 20%. You may be prompted to update when it’s available, otherwise, system updates can be done over a Wi-Fi connection or with the Software Upgrade Assistant.

To manually check for updates, navigate to Settings > System update. If your system is up-to-date, you don’t need to do anything further. Otherwise, tap Download and install to update your phone.

Is Galaxy A70 Eligible For Android 11?

Samsung’s One UI 3.0 is based on the Android 11. According to the One UI 3.0 device list, the Galaxy A70 is expected to get the Android 11 update. This device is one of many Galaxy devices that are eligible for the Android 11 update.
