Xiaomi is rolling out the Android 13-based MIUI 14 major software update for the Redmi Note 12R Pro owners in China. This new software comes with several cosmetic and performance-related changes and optimizations to take the user’s experience to a new level and make the system’s performance smoother.
As per the information, the consumers of Redmi Note 12R Pro will be able to determine the MIUI 14 update based on Android 13 via the build version V14.0.4.0.TMQCNXM and carries a massive installation package of around 6.2GB. Hence, make sure to opt for a stable Wi-Fi connection over regular mobile data.
Moving on, this new version of MIUI is more swift and reliable as compared to MIUI 13 and it too uses less memory for better functioning. Simultaneously, it also carries an April 2023 Android security patch for better performance and improved safety of the system, it may also resolve some common glitches and bugs.
Furthermore, the latest software version will redefine personalization and bring them to a new level. The super icons and new set of wallpapers will give your home screen a new look and feel. Additionally, the big folders will highlight the apps you need most and make them accessible with a single tap.

How to update
However, the update is rolling out through OTA (over-the-air) method in China, and it may take some time to reach all the eligible units in the country. Accordingly, you can proceed with the manual installation process via Settings > About Phone > System Update > MIUI version > Download & Install.

Note before upgrade
