The month of June has begun, but the Korean tech giant still expanding the optimizations and fixes of the May month’s patch for the remaining devices worldwide. In a recent development, Samsung is renovating the first generation Galaxy Fold with the May 2023 update.
For a recall, Samsung shifted the Galaxy Fold and Fold 5G models from monthly updates to quarterly updates last year. This means that the Samsung Galaxy Fold devices will get updates every 3 months instead of receiving them every month, and this will presumably stop in 2024.
As per the information, the original Galaxy Fold device was last updated on the February 2023 security patch version and now Samsung is elevating the model with the May 2023 update. Therefore, the latest firmware has arrived with the One UI build version F900FXXU6HWE2.
The latest security patch will boost the overall performance of the big-screen device and retain it up to date with the most recent security protocols and technology advancements. In addition, the patch will further resolve some common glitches and bugs that have been found in the system.
It also provides increased security for the system, ensuring that confidential data and sensitive information remain safe and secure. Simultaneously, the May 2203 security patch bulletin also mentions fixes for a total of 70 exploits and vulnerabilities from Google and Samsung software approaches.
Other than these common improvements there is no new feature or major changes noticed in the changelog. Thus, we suggest installing the patch as it will protect the device from harmful threats and boost the overall performance for a better and more adequate user experience.
