Samsung mistakenly dispatch One UI 4.0 instead of One UI 5.0/Android 13 for Galaxy S20 users

Samsung is busy releasing its One UI 5.0 update powered with the Android 13 operating system for all eligible devices, including flagship and midrange. However, in the era of getting One UI 5.0, some Galaxy S20 users are acquiring the old One UI 4.1 update based on Android 12.

The post shared on different platforms indicates that some users of Samsung Galaxy S20 series are receiving the Android 12-based One UI 4.1 update. Whereas, some users in India, UK, and in Europe are running the One UI 5.0 update based on Android 13.

According to SammyFans, this could be a blunder of Samsung’s software update server, because there is no sense to roll out the same update on which the device is already running. So far, the South Korean company has not made any official announcement on this matter.

Additionally, some users who got the One UI 4.1 update are wondering, whether they will be able to experience the offerings of One UI 5.0 based on Android 13 or not. Whereas, some users also stated that after installing the latest version they found it One UI 5.0, not the previous One UI 4.1.

The reason behind this unexpected rollout is still unknown, but we can expect that the Korean tech giant will soon inform us with the latest notification about this happening.
