Samsung updates LTE TDD band support for Galaxy S23 series in Europe

The consumers of the Samsung Galaxy S23 Series are receiving the April 2024 firmware update for the second time, and this updates LTE TDD band support for the models in Europe. However, the same update is also been released for Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra devices in Europe.

As per the details, the second April 2024 update of Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra has arrived with One UI build version S911BXXU3CXD3, S916BXXU3CXD3, and S918BXXU3CXD3 respectively. While the offerings are collected in a 431.97MB package size.

The changelog of this new firmware mentions updates for the Regional LTE TDD band support, resulting in an optimized network performance on Galaxy S23 devices. However, the LTE TDD band signals will not be supported in selected European countries – Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Luxemburg, Netherlands, Austria, Poland, Switzerland, and the Czech Republic.

LTE TDD 

LTE TDD stands for Long Term Evolution and Time Division Duplex. It’s a technology that is been used in mobile networks and works on a single frequency, alternating between uploading and downloading data through time.
