Unlocked Galaxy S20 and S10 series are getting the May 2020 security patch in the US

After updating the international variant of the Galaxy S20 series and Galaxy S10 series with the May 2020 security patch, the company is now rolling out the latest month security patch to the unlocked Galaxy S10 series and Galaxy S20 series in the US.

Software versions:

  • Galaxy S20: G981U1UES1ATD1
  • Galaxy S20+: G986U1UES1ATD1
  • Galaxy S20 Ultra: G988U1UES1ATD1
  • Galaxy S10e: G970U1UES3DTD5
  • Galaxy S10: G973U1UES3DTD5
  • Galaxy S10+: G975U1UES3DTD5

To update the version on your device, you will need to have a minimum battery charge of 20%. You may be prompted to update when it’s available, otherwise, system updates can be done over a Wi-Fi connection or with the Software Upgrade Assistant.

To manually check for updates, navigate to Settings > System update. If your system is up-to-date, you don’t need to do anything further. Otherwise, tap Download and install to update your phone.
